Oben Rorr Electric Bike Launched in Pune, Special Discount for First 100 Customers

Oben Electric, the Bengaluru-based two-wheeler startup, has started delivering its Rorr electric motorcycle in Pune, offering the first 100 customers a special discount. For early buyers in the city, the e-bike is available for purchase at Rs 1.29 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), which is Rs 21,000 less than its standard price of Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the Rorr is the brand's only model currently on sale in the country. In addition to providing the customers with servicing and spare part assistance, the new Pune showroom doubles as an Oben Care service centre.

Oben Rorr Electric Bike: Spec Details

On the mechanical front, the Oben Rorr features a 4.4kWh battery and an 8kW IPMSM motor, providing an IDC range of 187 km on a single charge. Its LFP cell technology guarantees better heat resistance and a longer battery life. The only way to charge the battery is via a 15Amp plug, which requires a 15Amp socket. It takes two hours for the bike to charge fully. The top speed of the model stands at 100km/h.

The Oben Rorr sports a neo-classic design. It is connected to an app, providing important information such as ride details, battery status, geo-fencing, geo-tagging, battery theft protection, on-demand service, charging station locator, and roadside assistance.

By the end of the year, Oben Electric intends to open six more showrooms and service locations in Pune. Moreover, the company plans to set up 50 showrooms and service centres across 12 Indian cities. In addition to entering the Kerala market with dealerships in Kochi and Trivandrum, the EV maker has already launched three more showrooms in Bengaluru.
