Piaggio India seems to have big plans for the Vespa and it looks like the Italian manufacturer will bring in more variants of its legendary scooter. Currently, in India the only variant available is the LX125 for a price of Rs 59,661 ex-showroom Delhi.

A new variant called the VX125 will be launched on June 20th and the LXS 125 will also be launched very soon. We will also expect to see a 150cc variant coming sometime in the next few months.

Even though Piaggio is not getting the sales numbers they were hoping for, they believe that the addition of more variants will offer customers more choice and in turn increase their sales numbers, even though the new variants will be pricier.

The new VX125 comes with front disc brakes, better tyres, an addition of chrome finsihing touches and additional paint schemes, while the additional variants on their way will feature more power and more features. Both the LX and VX feature 125cc engine that can create 11bhp and 10Nm of torque.
