New TVS Motorcycle with an Angular Tail Section Teased Ahead of India Launch, Could be Apache RTR 310?
Based on the recently released teaser video, the new motorcycle from the stable of TVS will come with a split-style seat layout with a stepped-up pillion seat, along with an angular and sleek tail section.
In about two weeks' time, TVS Motor Company will launch its new motorcycle in the Indian market. However, prior to its launch, the homegrown two-wheeler brand has recently teased the automotive world with a video of its upcoming model on its social media platforms, giving us a glimpse of the bike's sculpted tail section. The pricing of the bike will be out soon on September 6, 2023, and we will have more details about the bike as well as TVS' plans with the bike. The new motorcycle, which is anticipated to be called the Apache RTR 310, will be a naked version of the fully-faired Apache RR 310 (as reported earlier in our story). From what we have seen in the teaser video, it is evident that the new bike will receive a split-style seat layout with a stepped-up pillion seat, along with an angular and sleek tail section. Besides, the likely-to-be-launched Apache RTR 310 bike has been spotted doing testing rounds on multiple occasions, revealing a twin-pod design for the tail light, which is adapted from the RR 310, along with a rear-tyre hugger-mounted turn indicators and license plate. The bike's exhaust canister resembles that of the RR 310 and the 310 models made by BMW.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Riding Ergonomics, Features
According to a previous set of spy images, the bike is expected to feature a comfortable upright riding position. On the feature front, the RTR 310 will receive a single-piece handlebar, full-LED lighting, an updated LED headlamp setup, a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, dual-channel ABS, and an instrument cluster different from the vertically-mounted unit on its fully-faired sibling. The bike's headlight, tank shrouds, rear side panels, and radiator covers indicate it to be sporty and sleek in terms of appearance.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Suspension, Braking
In terms of suspension, the bike will get upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties will be carried out by discs at both ends, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The bike will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels draped in road-biased tyres.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Engine and Gearbox
The Apache RTR 310 is likely to share its underpinnings with the current RR 310 and therefore will be built on the same trellis frame. Most probably, the same 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine on the fully-faired model will power the RTR 310. This engine is capable of churning out 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. There is no official update, but industry reports suggest that TVS may experiment with gear ratios and perform engine adjustments to better suit the motorcycle's naked-street style. The motor will be linked to a 6-speed gearbox.

Upon launch, it will be TVS' answer to the likes of the Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R, Bajaj Dominar 400, QJ Motor SRK 400, as well as the KTM 390 Duke.
