Last month, news reports surfacing online revealed that the TVS Motor Company had been testing the next-generation Apache RTR 310, which was expected to be launched in the Indian market around the festive season. And now the Indian motorcycle manufacturer has sent out invites for the launch of its upcoming motorcycle in the country on September 6, 2023. While there is quite a bit of uncertainty around its name, we suspect that the new motorcycle could be the Apache RTR 310, which is a naked version of the fully-faired Apache RR 310. Or could be the recently trademarked Apache RTX. We do not have the details of the would-be-launched product as of now but from the spy shots that emerged in July and a couple of days back, it is known that the Apache RTR 310 will share no similarities with the BMW G 310 R, in terms of styling.

The RTR 310 will have a more simplistic appearance with a sculpted tail section. The bike will have a split-type brake lamp unit with two vertical LED stacks rather than a single-piece tail light. The turn indicators and license plate are both situated on the tyre hugger. The bike's headlight, tank shrouds, rear side panels, and radiator covers indicate it to be sporty and sleek in terms of appearance. The upswept exhaust system seems identical to the current Apache RR 310.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Other Features
Furthermore, the RTR 310 will have a flat, single-piece handlebar, full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, dual-channel ABS, and an instrument cluster different from the vertically mounted unit on its fully-faired sibling.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Engine Details
The Apache RTR 310 is likely to share its underpinnings with the current RR 310 and therefore built on the same trellis frame. Probably, the same 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine on the fully-faired model will power the RTR 310. The engine is capable of churning out 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. There is no official update, but industry reports suggest that TVS may experiment with gear ratios and perform engine adjustments to better suit the motorcycle's naked-street style. The motor will be linked to a 6-speed gearbox.
TVS Apache RTR 310: Hardware
The Apache RTR 310 will be suspended with the help of upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties will be carried out by discs at both ends, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. The bike will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels draped in road-biased tyres.

TVS Apache RTR 310: Expected Pricing
In terms of pricing, the motorcycle is expected to be priced lower than its fully-faired counterpart, which retails at approximately Rs 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will be TVS' answer to the likes of the Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R, Bajaj Dominar 400, QJ Motor SRK 400, as well as the KTM 390 Duke.
