Triumph appears to be working on a more aggressive version of the Triple 1200 RS for the global market. A test mule of the racier model is seen testing on the road in Catalonia, providing valuable insights into its hardware and ergonomics. The spy photographs show the test mule with wires sticking out of its front and rear springs, indicating an electronically adjustable suspension. Although not confirmed, numerous buttons on the switchgear can be utilised to control the damper settings. The prototype also featured a steering damper. It is important to note that the Ohlins suspension on the existing Speed Triple 1200 RS with manual adjustment is standard. Let's explore the newly disclosed spy photos of the Triumph motorcycle, which retails for Rs 17.95 lakh in India (ex-showroom, Delhi).
New Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS: Key Highlights
The unique clip-on handlebars, which may enhance the sportier riding experience, are one of the most obvious differences between the spotted test mule and the current generation bike. Although the prototype's aluminium twin-spar frame is identical, it looks to have a slightly altered rear subframe. Furthermore, the prototype's wheels don't look the same as the ones on the production model. These have unique tyres, with the rear tyre appearing bigger.
Although there has been no formal announcement, the RS is expected to receive a high-end model with electronic suspension. The upgraded version might also include a sophisticated electronics package.
