Kawasaki is expected to introduce the new Versys-X 300 in India around the festive season in October of this year. Although a formal statement is still pending, industry reports suggest that the Japanese bikemaker will procure a lot of the bike parts, including body panels, and tyres, from local suppliers to maintain competitive pricing. For those unaware, the bike was on sale in our market before the implementation of the BS6 norms in 2020.
Upon launch, the bike will take on the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310 GS, and Royal Enfield Himalayan. It is expected to include dual-channel ABS and a standard semi-digital display, among other features.
