Over a week after launching the updated Jawa 42 motorcycle in India, Jawa has revealed its plans to bring in a new motorcycle on September 3, 2024. The details about the new motorcycle are scarce, but it is expected to follow a modern-retro design theme. This indicates that a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with power and torque output similar to the Jawa 350 could see its duty in the new modern-retro motorcycle.
In the Jawa 350, the 334cc Alpha-2 engine makes 22.2bhp at 7,000rpm and 28.2Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm, and transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed unit. However, expect the new Jawa motorcycle to offer this Alpha-2 engine in a different state of tune to suit its characteristics. Price-wise, the modern-retro product could sit in the ballpark of Rs 2 lakh–Rs 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go against the Honda CB350RS.
