Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the all-new Activa 125, with a 4.2-inch TFT display, a USB-C charging port, and a range of new colours. The scooter is priced at Rs 94,422 for the DLX variant and Rs 97,146 for the H-Smart version (ex-showroom). Moreover, it is now compatible with OBD2B emission standards. This launch follows the highly anticipated debut of the Activa e, Honda's first electric scooter. The Activa e has a convenient swappable battery system and a sleek, streamlined design compared to its petrol-powered sibling. It will go on sale on January 1, 2025, with an estimated price tag of Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). While the electric Activa's launch is still some time away, let's explore the new features of the Activa 125.

New Honda Activa 125: What’s Changed?
The Activa 125 retains its classic design while adopting a more contemporary and eye-catching look. The scooter’s aesthetic is further enhanced by the addition of sophisticated contrasting brown seats and inner panels, along with six fresh colour options (Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White). These updates add a distinctive flair, elevating the scooter's overall appeal. The headlight is redesigned into a boxier shape, featuring a chrome accent on top.

The new Activa 125 offers a substantial improvement in terms of features, including a 4.2-inch TFT display, which offers a more contemporary and dynamic interface than the LCD display seen in the previous model. The display is linked to Honda's RoadSync software and offers navigation support and phone notifications.
The all-new Activa 125 is driven by a 123.92cc, single-cylinder PGM-Fi (programmed fuel injection) engine that meets the OBD2B emission standards. This unit delivers 8.28bhp of maximum power and 10.5Nm of peak torque. Additionally, it comes equipped with an idle start-stop system. While these engine updates are significant, the rest of the scooter is largely unaltered.

The suspension continues to feature a telescopic fork at the front and a single-sided shock absorber at the rear. For braking, the Activa 125 is equipped with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
