Piaggio, in celebration of its 25th anniversary in India, is expected to launch brand-new scooters under the Aprilia and Vespa brands in the country. Besides, the company has also confirmed that the existing Aprilia and Vespa models will receive updates, ranging from revised engines to new colour options. This suggests that the entire line-up of Aprilia and Vespa scooters will now be equipped with a new engine for enhanced acceleration and braking ability. Starting with the Aprilia, the Aprilia SR range of scooters could get a new entry-level Typhoon variant, designed for aspiring racers. Under the Vespa line-up, the company is said to launch an all-new Vespa Touring model, supposedly designed for explorers and creators to carry equipment and luggage.
Both the Aprilia and Vespa two-wheelers will most likely get a new, higher performance i-GET (Italian Green Experience Technology) engine for improved acceleration. This means that these scooters will be OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostic) compliant.

Other notable speculations include a digital console, combi braking, an LED headlamp, and more. As for the new products, the Aprilia SXR series is anticipated to get an overhaul this year. Additionally, the brand is likely to introduce a mid-capacity model, which could be badged as the RS 440. When launched, the RS 440 would take on the likes of the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
