MV Agusta Enduro Veloce Makes Global Debut with 931cc Engine, 240km/h Top Speed
The Enduro Veloce is MV Agusta's first new product after KTM’s parent company Pierer Mobility AG increased its ownership stake to 50.1 per cent in MV Agusta.
After showcasing the limited-run LXP Orioli adventure tourer at EICMA 2023, Italian bikemaker MV Agusta has unveiled the Enduro Veloce for the international market. The Enduro Veloce is MV Agusta's first new product after KTM’s parent company Pierer Mobility AG increased its ownership stake to 50.1 per cent in MV Agusta. Created by designers at the MV Agusta style centre, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce features twin-LED headlamps, hefty tank shrouds, and a sharply raked tail section. The Italian bikemaker says the motorcycle has been through extensive wind-tunnel testing, with the lines at the front end directing airflow to the radiator for engine cooling along with the air extractors on the side panels.
In terms of dimensions, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce measures 2,360mm in length and 980mm in width. The Veloce is a tall machine with a seat height of 870mm, which can be dropped to 850mm. The ground clearance and dry weight stand at 230mm and 224kgs, respectively.
MV Agusta Enduro Veloce: Engine
Powering the MV Agusta is a 931cc in-line three-cylinder engine, which is built entirely at the firm's factory. Tipping the scales at 57kgs, the engine features a counter-rotating crankshaft that cancels out the front wheel’s gyroscopic effect, thereby allowing for 'particularly rapid changes in direction'. The power and torque figures of the bike are rated at 122bhp at 10,000rpm and 102Nm at 7,000rpm, respectively. As for the transmission, the bike uses a 6-speed unit, accompanied by a hydraulic clutch mechanism and a bi-directional quick-shifter. MV Agusta claims that the bike can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.72 seconds and achieve a top speed of 240km/h.
MV Agusta Enduro Veloce: Hardware
Chassis-wise, the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce gets a double cradle steel frame, a removable subframe, and an aluminium swingarm. The suspension setup of the motorcycle comprises 48mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock, both of which have the same travel of 210mm. Stopping power comes from 320mm twin floating discs with 4-piston callipers at the front and a 265mm single disc with a dual-piston calliper at the rear. Speaking of discs, the bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked Takasago Excel wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Battlax A41 tyres (suited for off-road use).
MV Agusta Enduro Veloce: Features, Electronic Aids
The MV Agusta Enduro Veloce features ABS, traction control, launch control, engine brake control, ride-by-wire, a 6-axis inertial measurement unit, and four riding modes (Urban, Touring, Off-Road and Custom). It additionally gets LED lighting, keyless ignition, backlit switchgear, and a 7.0-inch HD TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Navigation.
