MV Agusta's first launch for India in 2019 (by Motoroyale) comes in the form of the Brutale 800RR America Special Edition.

About a month back, Motoroyale by Kinetic had teased the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR America Special Edition on its Instagram page. Further, we had also reported that only 5 units of the motorcycle will make it to the Indian shores. Now though, the wait has come to an end as the Brutale 800RR America has been launched here at Rs 18.73 lakh (Ex-showroom). What's surprising is that despite being a special edition, the 800RR America is cheaper than the standard Brutale 800RR, which is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh (Ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Speaking at the launch, Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director of Motoroyale by Kinetic said, 'MV Agusta bikes have a legacy of innovation, safety, speed and style. The limited edition ‘America’ model has it all - striking looks, maximum performance and the sportiest ride. With the launch of the Brutale 800 RR America, we at Motoroyale have reinforced our objective of bringing the most premium bikes in the world to riders in the Indian market. In 2018, we launched seven models from some of the biggest global brands and we are building on our exceptional product repertoire with this first launch in 2019.'

The 'America' Special Edition of the Brutale features the Italian brand's signature colour scheme reminiscent of the American national flag and pays homage to the 750S America, the original MV Agusta model of 1975 which marks the beginning of the 'America' moniker in the MV Agusta heritage. Mechanically though, the Brutale 800RR America carries over the same specs as the standard Brutale 800RR, meaning that it is powered by the same 798cc three-cylinder motor which pumps out 138bhp at a whopping 12,300rpm and 87Nm of torque. Weighing at just 172kg and coupled with MV Agusta's EAS 2.0 QuickShifter, it puts up a strong fight to the likes the Ducati Monster 821 and the Yamaha MT-09.
