Following the success of the RV400, Revolt Motors has plans to expand its portfolio. The company is working on a locally produced electric motorcycle that will debut early next year.
Revolt Motors has been getting an overwhelming response for its electric motorcycle, the RV400. Recently, the company also bagged an order from a fast-food chain – Domino's Pizza India – for Revolt RV300s. The motorcycles will be equipped with custom-made parts to suit the chain’s food delivery needs.
Reports on the internet also suggest that the company is working on a more affordable electric motorcycle that is likely to be dubbed the RV1. The new motorcycle will be a replacement for the RV300 in Revolt’s portfolio with a price tag between most 110cc-125cc motorcycles on sale in India.

Unlike the Revolt RV300 and the RV400 – which have a few components imported from China – the Revolt RV1 will be locally produced at the company’s facility in Manesar. The production will commence from January 2022, around the same time when the Revolt RV300 is expected to be phased out of the market.
The RV300 gets a top speed of 65 km/h in the Sport mode. The claimed range of the RV300 in its sport setting is up to 80 km, and a 2.7 kWh battery pack powers the 1.5kW hub-mounted motor. The specs of the upcoming RV1 are expected to be in the same ballpark as the RV300, however, with a lower price tag – close to Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom). Revolt Motors is expected to reveal more details by the festive season. Stay tuned.
