Sold out like hotcakes. Seems like all the limited-edition KTM 1290 Super Duke RR have found a new home. And if you have missed a chance to own one, you can cross your fingers and get on KTM’s waiting list
KTM unveiled the 1290 Super Duke RR a week ago and the bookings for the limited edition motorcycle commenced on 10:00hrs CET, April 8, 2021. The motorcycle was available to pre-book on KTM's official website and was exclusive to the European markets. All the 500 examples of the 2021 KTM 1290 Super Duke RR were sold out within an hour of commencing the pre-bookings.
However, if you have missed the opportunity to own one of the 500 limited editions of the 1290 Super Duke RR, you can still get on KTM's waiting list and hope to pounce upon any canceled bookings. Although, it is very unlikely that anyone would give up their chance to own a limited edition motorcycle especially when it was sold within 48minutes of commencing the pre-bookings.
The KTM 1290 Super Duke RR is lighter by 9kg than the standard model. The weight reduction is achieved by a carbon fiber subframe and body panels, and lightweight alloy wheels. The motorcycle tips the scale at 180kg and has a power output of 177bhp (180hp) which in turn gives a 1:1 power to weight ratio.
The suspension units are of a higher grade than the standard model. Fully adjustable WP APEX PRO 7548 Close Cartridge forks in the front and an APEX PRO 7746 mono-shock at the rear. A lightweight AKRAPOVIČ slip-on exhaust system is an optional extra along with a host of KTM power parts.
