KTM has upped the big bike game in India by launching the 1290 Super Adventure S and the 1390 Super Duke R in India. The former is a butch and muscular adventurer, while the latter is the Austrian company's flagship naked street motorcycle. A successor to the 1290 Super Duke, the 1390 Super Duke R uses a 1,350cc V-twin LC8 engine that also does duty in the 1390 Super Duke GT, which made its global debut in early November. The engine is tuned to develop 188bhp at 10,000rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. This is thanks to the fact that the LC8 engine has been updated with a new camshaft, increased inlet diameter and shorter throttle bodies, among other things. With a price set at Rs 22.96 lakh (ex-showroom), the KTM 1390 Super Duke R will take on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S and the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS.
