Austrian bike makers KTM are about to unveil their new adventure tourer bike called the 1290 Super Adventure. This new beast of a machine is based on the 1190 Adventure - which we thought was near perfect - and now gets additional power and will be compete hwith bikes such as the Aprilia Caponord and Ducati Multistrada.
The 1290 Super Adventure borrows the powerful 1301cc engine of the 1290 Super Duke R and has fitted it onto the chassis of the 1190 Adventure. Full details are not yet known about the Super Adventure, but we do know the engine pumps out 180bhp and it does get some design changes over the 1190 Adventure, such as a larger fuel tank, a taller windshield, and more luxurious setting and features. The bike will also come with stability control, ABS and traction control.
The all-new 1290 Super Adventure will be unveiled to the public on September 30th at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.
