The 50th Anniversary paint scheme pays homage to the Kawasaki Z1 which launched – internationally – back in 1972; and now, that paint scheme is offered with the new Kawasaki Z650RS.
The 50th Anniversary Edition of the Kawasaki Z650RS has been launched in India. The special edition motorcycle is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) which is a very reasonable Rs 5,000 higher than that of the standard motorcycle.
With the 50th Anniversary Edition motorcycle, you will get your Z650RS painted in the red and black colour scheme. This colour option is limited to Kawasaki’s 50th Anniversary Edition motorcycles overseas.
The fuel tank sports a dual-tone combination of red and black, while the side panels are finished in high-gloss black paint. The grab handle which is painted in matte black on the standard motorcycle, the 50th Anniversary Edition paint scheme offers the same with a chrome finish. The wheels, however, are the same gold-finished as the stock motorcycle.
The mechanicals and cycle parts are the same as before. A 649cc parallel-twin continues to power the new special edition motorcycle. The power figures are 67bhp and 64Nm. The gearbox is a six-speed unit, which packs a slipper clutch assembly.
Kawasaki has commenced the bookings for the 50th Anniversary Edition Z650RS at its dealerships across the nation and the deliveries will happen soon.
