Although the signature green-black combination remains in this 2020 ZX-10R as well, it gets gold lettering on the fairing. There’s no change to the mechanicals
Earlier this year in May, Kawasaki introduced the 2019 Ninja ZX-10R. Just like the 2018 model, this one continues to be brought to India via the CKD route. Now, Kawasaki has introduced a new colour option for its litre-class offering. It gets the ZX-10R lettering in golden on the fairing and the tank. This new colour option does not demand additional moolah and is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh as well (ex-showroom India). Kawasaki will continue to sell the other colour options alongside this new one.
In terms of mechanicals, the ZX-10R continues to be unchanged. It is powered by the same 998cc inline four-cylinder motor that develops 200bhp and 114.9Nm. Just like the model launched in May, this one too comes with the new finger-follower valve actuation system, high-spec cylinder head, race-spec camshafts and more. Other highlights include an Ohlins-sourced electronic steering damper for better control, dual-direction quick shifter, electronic throttle valves, three riding modes and more. All the electronic aids continue to be offered as well - traction control, launch control, cornering management function, and engine brake control among others.
Braking duties are performed by Brembo M50 monoblock callipers, paired with two 330mm discs at the front. The ZX-10R comes with steel braided lines as standard.
Kawasaki already has the standard Ninja ZX-10R KRT on sale. Deliveries of this 10R with the new paint scheme will commence in October.
