Kawasaki for the first time in India has launched two products from their motocross range of bikes.
The KX100 is priced at Rs. 4.69 lakh and the KX 250F is priced at Rs. 7.14 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Mumbai.
India Kawasaki Motors has brought in two new bikes in India from their global motocross range. The 99cc, single-cylinder, 2-stroke powered KC 100, and the 249cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engined KX 250F are now on sale in the Indian market.
The 77 kilogram KX 100 gets a water cooled engine that is mated to a 6-speed transmission. Priced at Rs. 7.14 lakh, the KX 250F is a completely re-engineered to be more powerful than the outgoing version and lighter weighing in at 104.5 kilograms. The KX 250F has a much narrower frame and the liquid cooled engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox. Purpose built for motocross and off-road use, the KX 250F has a ground clearance of 320mm.
It is the first time Kawasaki has introduced a product from their motocross portfolio in India, and both bikes will be brought in as completely built-up units and is only available in “Lime Green” shade. However, both bikes are only for off-road and motocross use, and are not road legal.
