Kawasaki has unveiled the road-legal dual-sport bike, the KLX 230, for the Indian market. The bike is designed for off-road enthusiasts and offers sufficient power for an engaging experience while keeping the kerb weight of the bike as low as 139kg. With basic bodywork and a decent set of features, the KLX 230 draws inspiration from the KX range of dirt bikes. While the price will be announced in December 2024, interested customers can reserve the bike by putting down a deposit of Rs 5,000. Deliveries will commence in January 2025.

Powering the simple Kawasaki KLX 230 is a 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is tuned to produce 18bhp at 8,00rpm and 18.3Nm of peak torque at 6,400rpm. The bike comes in two colour options: Lime Green and Battle Grey.
