Following the debut of the new Eliminator 500 in June 2023 in the international market, Kawasaki has launched this cruiser-style motorcycle in the Indian market at a sticker price of Rs 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The Eliminator uses the same parallel-twin motor as the Kawasaki Ninja 400 (45bhp/37Nm); however, it has a displacement capacity of 451cc.
That said, the new 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine in the Eliminator gets a 6.8mm longer stroke, larger 32mm throttle bodies, and a bigger 5.8-litre airbox. Thanks to this, the engine offers better low-end torque delivery and increased displacement. Power and torque figures are rated at 45bhp at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6,000rpm, respectively. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed unit and a slip-and-assist clutch.

Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of a single 310mm disc with twin-piston callipers at the front and a single 240mm disc with dual-piston callipers at the rear.
Speaking of discs, the Kawasaki Eliminator comes with an 18-inch front and a 16-inch rear alloy wheel, whereas the Vulcan 650 gets 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. On offer is also a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (standard).
Kawasaki Eliminator: Dimensions
The bike's kerb weight sits at 176 kilograms, making it 8 kilograms heavier than the Ninja 400. Meanwhile, the seat height and ground clearance of the Kawasaki Eliminator are marked at 735mm and 150mm, respectively.
Kawasaki Eliminator: Styling, Features
The Eliminator features a classic cruiser styling with some retro elements. It gets a low seat, round LED headlamps, flat handlebars, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a low-slung profile, and a long tail. The styling is complemented by LED lighting and a circular LCD screen. Other bits are an assist and slipper clutch, smartphone connectivity, as well as Kawasaki's ergo-fit system that enables the riders to customise their bike in accordance with their height and comfort.
