Jawa 42 & Yezdi Roadster Gets New Colour Options; Price Starts from Rs 1.95 Lakh
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has introduced new colourways for its best-selling vehicles - the 42 and the Yezdi Roadster. The new colour palette has been launched at a higher price than the standard.
For 2023, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has added new colourways to the Jawa 42 and Yezdi Roadster. The Jawa 42 now comes in an all-new Cosmic Carbon paint finish that costs Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom), which is nearly Rs 1,000 more than the available colour options. The Yezdi Roadster, on the other hand, gets a new dual-tone gloss Crimson paint for Rs 2.04 lakh (ex-showroom). This colourway comes in the Dark Finish, which gives the bike a darker look by having trim pieces like the mirrors, exhaust, and engine coated in a dark shade of black. Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has made no changes to the engine and gearbox.

A 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 29.2bhp and a peak torque of 28.95Nm is still available with the Yezdi Roadster. The Jawa 42, on the other hand, also continues with a 294.72cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 26.9bhp and 26.84Nm. Both motorcycles have the same six-speed transmission as before. The assist and slipper clutch mechanisms on the Yezdi Roadster are also available.
While introducing the new colours for the motorcycles, the company reportedly disclosed about developing its sales and aftersales network in India by 2023. It currently has 400 touchpoints nationwide and plans to add 100 more this year.

In other news, we informed you that Jawa Motorcycles debuted a new special edition 42 called the 'Tawang Edition' at the Torgya Festival in Arunachal Pradesh. The Jawa 42 Tawang Edition will be manufactured in a limited quantity of 100 units. It will be available only to clients residing in Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring regions. Except for the aesthetic alterations, the Jawa 42 Tawang Edition has no changes in the engine. It will continue to get propelled by a 294cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that offers 27bhp and 26.84 Nm. The standard model comes with a price tag of Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom), the new one is expected to cost more than it.
