Indian Springfield launched for Rs. 31.07 lakh

Indian Motorcycles has launched the Indian Springfield in India for an ex-showroom price of Rs. 31.07 lakh.

America’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer, Indian Motorcycles, has launched the Indian Springfield in the Indian market. The name Springfield comes from the birthplace of the brand in Springfield, Massachusetts and is aimed at being both a highway touring cruiser while also being an everyday useable urban motorcycle.

The basic styling of the Springfield remains similar to the Indian Chief family. The bike features a quick-release windshield for wind protection for both the rider and passenger’s comfort, which can be removed in a matter of minutes and stored in the hard side bags, in addition to the the passenger seat which is also removable to enjoy a solo ride.

Powering the Springfield is the Thunder Stroke 111 engine that develops a peak torque output of 139.8Nm to the belt drive from the 6-speed transmission. The Springfield has an all new chassis that is designed to handle heavy loads without any compromise on handling. Weighing in at 388 kilograms, the Springfield can carry a load of up to an additional 241 kilograms with ease.

The Indian Springfield comes loaded with numerous features which include remote locking hard bags and adjustable passenger floorboards come standard along with real leather seating, ABS, tyre pressure monitoring, cruise control and more. Indian Motorcycles will offer the India Springfield in classic Thunder Black paint scheme in addition to more options.
