After a long wait, Indian Motorcycle has finally introduced the Roadmaster Elite in India, and it’s priced at Rs. 48 lakh.
Subsequent the announcement of the global launch of the Roadmaster Elite in January this year, Indian Motorcycle has finally launched it in India on 2nd May. While this motorcycle is based on the standard Roadmaster, it’s a limited-edition model with only 300 units on offer globally. The Indian Roadmaster Elite has been priced at Rs. 48 lakh, ex-showroom.
So, what makes the Roadmaster Elite stand apart from its standard sibling? Although it shares the same design as the Roadmaster, the Elite has a two-tone Candy paint scheme – the only colour on sale. Skilled hands have spent close to 30 hours in painting the Elite, and it comes with a 23k gold badging on the tank and the tank extensions. Other changes include a 300-watt speaker system. The standard variant, however, comes with 200-watt speakers. This system also comes with USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
At the heart, the Roadmaster Elite comes with the same engine as the standard model. The 1,811cc motor makes 150Nm of max torque at 2,900rpm. Although it has the same wheelbase as the Roadmaster, the Elite is marginally longer, thanks to the cosmetic chrome accents on the front and rear mudguards. While the Roadmaster tips the scale at 407kg, the Elite weighs 11kg more, owing to the aforementioned additional features on offer.
Indian Motorcycle has only imported one unit of the Roadmaster Elite to India as of now, and it is available on order.
