Indian Pursuit Elite, Chieftain Elite Limited Editions Unveiled; Check Details

Only 150 units of the Indian Pursuit Elite and 175 units of the Indian Chieftain Elite will go on sale across the globe. Both bikes feature Pathfinder adaptive LED headlamps and LED saddlebag lights.

Indian Motorcycle has pulled the wraps off the two limited edition bikes for international markets – the Indian Pursuit Elite and the Chieftain Elite. The bikes will be available in limited numbers across the globe, making them highly exclusive. Only 150 units of the Pursuit Elite and 175 units of the Chieftain Elite will go on sale. Prices of the Pursuit Elite and the Chieftain Elite stand at around Rs 33 lakh ($39,999) and Rs 29 lakh ($35,499), respectively. All prices are ex-showroom. But for our market, the bike maker still hasn't revealed their prices. Both bikes have received a number of cosmetic upgrades over their standard models. Super Graphite Metallic and Black Metallic paint options are available for the Indian Pursuit Elite, while the Chieftain Elite comes in Super Graphite Smoke and Black Smoke colour options.

Indian Pursuit Elite, Chieftain Elite Limited Editions: Powertrain, Performance

The limited-edition Indian Pursuit Elite is powered by a relatively smaller 1,768cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor, which churns out 120bhp of maximum power and 174Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

On the other hand, the Chieftain Elite limited-edition model draws power from a larger 1,890cc Thunderstroke 116 air-cooled V-twin engine, which produces 171Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Indian Pursuit Elite, Chieftain Elite Limited Editions: Suspension, Braking 

For suspension, the Pursuit Elite uses a 43mm inverted telescopic fork at the front with 130mm of travel. The rear end gets an electronically adjustable 114mm Fox single shock with 114mm of wheel travel. For braking duties, the bike gets dual 320mm semi-floating front discs with 4-piston radial callipers and a single 298mm floating rear discs with 2-piston callipers.

The Chieftain Elite's suspension setup comprises a 46mm front telescopic fork, with 119mm of travel, and a rear single shock with air-adjust and 114mm of wheel travel. Braking duties are handled by dual 300mm floating front brakes with 4-piston callipers and a single 300mm floating rear brakes with 2-piston callipers.

Indian Pursuit Elite, Chieftain Elite Limited Editions: Features

In terms of features, the Pursuit Elite comes with Pathfinder adaptive LED headlamp combined with Pathfinder S LED driving lights and saddlebag lights. It is available with a 16-speaker PowerBand Audio system, Smart Lean technology, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen powered by Ride Command, Apple CarPlay support, Bluetooth connectivity, and more. It rides on 5-spoked wheels at both ends, which are shod with Metzeler Cruisetec tyres. The bike has a fuel storage capacity of 22.7 litres, a seat height of 672mm, and a wheelbase of 1669mm. 

The Chieftain Elite gets all-LED lighting that includes Pathfinder adaptive LED headlamps and LED saddlebag lights. The cruiser rides on special 10-spoked alloy wheels wrapped in Metzeler Cruisetec tyres and gets a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with a capacity of 20.8 litres, along with an adjustable windscreen. The bike comes with a gunfighter-style single-piece seat (650mm in height) with bronze-coloured stitching and a wheelbase of 1,668mm. It has a fully-coloured 7.0-inch touchscreen display powered by Ride Command, which shows live traffic, weather, intuitive destination search, vehicle health, and other information.

Indian Pursuit Elite, Chieftain Elite Limited Editions: Colours

As mentioned earlier, the Pursuit Elite is offered in Super Graphite Metallic and Black Metallic paint options, with Shadow Bronze inserts. It also gets colour-matched 'Elite' badging. While the Chieftain Elite is offered in Super Graphite Smoke and Black Smoke colour options, with contrasting Shadow Bronze accents.
