All Indian Motorcycle models are imported to India. Therefore, the entire range now gets more affordable.
Following the government’s decision to reduce customs on CBU motorcycles, Indian Motorcycle has slashed the prices of its lineup in India by up to Rs. 3 lakh.
The American manufacturer currently has a total of nine bikes (excluding variants) in its India lineup, all of which have witnessed a reduction in their prices. The price change is in effect immediately across all Indian Motorcycle dealers in the country.
Commenting on the import price cut and attractive prices of the Indian line-up, Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director & Country Head, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., said, ‘We are glad that the Government has rationalised the import duty structure to 50 per cent across the range for imported bikes. The new attractive price of our products available in India will definitely lead to more sales. This will also create opportunities for enthusiasts to buy our iconic products and be a part of the Indian Motorcycle family.’
After the recent change in import duty structure, all CBU bikes attract an import duty of 50 per cent. Previously, motorcycles displacing less than 800cc were levied an import duty of 60 per cent, while those displacing more than 800cc were taxed at 75 per cent.
