The made-in-India Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650 have been rolled out for the French market by the popular bike manufacturer Royal Enfield. The 2024 iterations of the bikes launched in France have gained additional features, revised styling, and several other improvements. However, the models have not undergone any mechanical modifications. The company is also providing a warranty with an unlimited mileage cap that can last up to three years. Now, let's begin by talking about the pricing details of both bikes. In France, the Interceptor 650 starts at EUR 7,390 (around Rs 6.5 lakh at the present exchange rate), while the Continental GT is priced at EUR 7,690 (roughly Rs 6.8 lakh at the existing exchange rate). For comparison, the Continental GT boasts a price tag of Rs 3.18 lakh, and the Interceptor 650 costs Rs 3.02 lakh in India. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. Due to export charges, this is approximately twice what motorcycles cost in India.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, Interceptor 650: Updated Styling
Owing to their conventional appearance and straightforward design, both models have gained popularity in our domestic market as well as in the worldwide market. There are a total of four colour options for the Interceptor 650, including two brand-new ones. These include the Barcelona Blue and Black Ray, which have all of their parts and components blackened out. However, in addition to the standard paint options, the Continental GT 650 is also offered in two blacked-out colours, namely, Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey. The blacked-out versions of the Continental GT 650 include blacked-out components, just like the Interceptor 650. Furthermore, Royal Enfield has added alloy wheels that are fitted with tubeless tyres. Notably, these are exclusively available on the new blacked-out models.

In terms of engine, both bikes have the same 648cc parallel-twin engine that puts out 47bhp of maximum power and 52Nm of peak torque. The Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 are mated to a smooth-shifting 6-speed gearbox for transmission duties. They come equipped with a slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS as standard. A 320mm disc present up front and a 240mm disc present at the rear are responsible for braking.

Speaking of features onboard, both motorcycles now boast conveniences such as all-new LED headlights, new switchgear, redesigned seats for enhanced seating comfort, and a USB-A Charging port having a weatherproof flap.
