India-made BMW F 450 GS Launch Timeline Revealed, Here's All You Need to Know
Initially revealed as a concept at EICMA 2024 and later showcased at Auto Expo 2025, the F 450 GS will sit above the G 310 GS in BMW's ADV lineup.

The BMW F 450 GS is expected to be officially introduced by late 2025, as revealed by the premium bikemaker in a recent social media update. The post, which included an image carousel, carried the caption, "Dreams are coming true soon - prepare for the #ConceptF450GS at the end of the year." Industry insiders anticipate that the adventure motorcycle will make its debut at this year's EICMA Motor Show in November. Production will be handled by TVS at its Hosur facility, where BMW’s G 310 lineup and CE 02 electric scooter are also manufactured. Initially revealed as a concept at EICMA 2024 and later showcased at Auto Expo 2025, the F 450 GS will be positioned above the G 310 GS in BMW Motorrad’s adventure motorcycle range.
Although an official launch date remains undisclosed, mass production is likely to commence by late 2025, with an Indian launch expected in early 2026. The bikemaker is anticipated to price the motorcycle competitively, likely under Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom), to appeal to adventure riding enthusiasts.
BMW F 450 GS: Design Elements
Drawing heavy design influence from BMW’s larger adventure motorcycles, the F 450 GS concept features a distinctive quad-element LED DRL up front. Its semi-fairing, tall windscreen, and integrated beak lend it a nearly production-ready aesthetic.

Other standout elements include BMW’s signature tricolour scheme (White, Blue, and Red), a rear luggage rack, knuckle guards, a rally-inspired one-piece seat, and an Akrapovic exhaust. Given the concept’s well-defined styling, many of these visual elements are expected to transition into the final production version.
BMW F 450 GS: Engine and Chassis
The BMW F 450 GS is powered by an all-new 450cc parallel-twin engine, developed from the ground up to meet the A2 licence class requirements, delivering 47bhp of maximum power. BMW emphasises that the engine’s unique ignition offset enhances its character and throttle response. To maintain a lightweight yet robust design, the brand has utilised magnesium components, keeping the bike’s weight at just 175 kg without compromising performance.
The motorcycle is built on an entirely new chassis, prioritising off-road agility, and handling. It includes a fully adjustable golden USD front fork and a rear mono-shock with load-sensitive damping. Rolling on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheels with off-road tyres, the bike ensures enhanced terrain adaptability. However, BMW Motorrad may offer cast aluminum wheels as an option for the production model.
BMW F 450 GS: Features
BMW equipped the F 450 GS Concept with cutting-edge technology, including lean-angle-sensitive ABS Pro, high-performance braking, and multiple riding modes. The concept version also boasts BMW Connectivity, integrating a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone pairing, elements likely to carry over to the final production version.
