Kawasaki has updated its retro motorcycle, the W800, with a new colour scheme. The 2022 Kawasaki W800 will most likely be launched in India, replacing the outgoing model, which is offered in a matte black colour scheme.
Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the updated W800 modern classic motorcycle. The changes to the 2022 Kawasaki W800 are just skin deep, which means that the mechanicals and features have been carried over to the new motorcycle.
The 2022 W800 gets a new paint scheme, called the Candy Fire Red. The paint scheme is a blend of gloss red and silver stripes, with a noticeable amount of chrome. The engine also has some of its components highlighted in chrome.
The engine is the same as before – a 773cc air-cooled parallel-twin unit – mated to a five-speed unit, which forwards 47.3bhp and 62.9Nm to the wheel. The power figure is marginally lower than the India-spec model, which is tuned to make 51bhp.
The suspension unit and the braking hardware is still the same. The 2022 W800 gets conventional telescopic forks at the front and a dual shock absorber at the rear.
The 2022 Kawasaki W800 will be launched in international markets first. The India launch is likely to take place in the Q1 of 2022. The new Kawasaki W800 will see a marginal increase in its price as well. Currently, the Kawasaki W800 retails for Rs 7.26 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it an expensive proposition, considering that the motorcycle still employes an older engine and offers the bare minimum features.
