Honda two-wheelers has added another BS6 product in their model line-up with the launch of the X-Blade BS6 in India. The new X-Blade BS6 is available in two variants – Single disc and Dual disc, with prices starting at Rs 1.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Although the new version gets some additional features and a BS6 compliant engine, the update has made the motorcycle dearer by close to Rs 16,000 compared to the outgoing BS4 version.
Powering the motorcycle is the same 163cc single-cylinder, but it now meets BS6 emission norms. The engine develops slightly less power output than before – 13.7bhp, as opposed to 13.9 bhp in BS4 – but it now develops more torque – 14.7Nm – in comparison (the BS4 version produced 13.9Nm). Power transmission duties continue to be carried out by a 5-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle continues to feature telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. However, it’s now also available with a rear disc. ABS is standard. Feature-wise, it continues to be equipped with LED headlamps and a digital instrument cluster, but now you also get an engine kill switch. The BS6 version also gets new graphics on the fuel tank.
In addition to this, the X-Blade BS6 will be offered with 6 years warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty).
Competition for the X-Blade BS6 includes the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4v and Hero Xtreme 160R.
Here’s the variant-wise pricing (ex-showroom, Delhi) of the new X-Blade BS6:
Single Disc – Rs 1,06,687
