Honda Shine 100: Exterior Styling and Colour Options
The Shine 100 takes its design inspiration from the Honda CB Shine 125. It has a curved headlight, fuel tank, and a single-piece seat, with a grab rail. Like most commuter motorcycles in India, the overall construction is quite basic and thin.
Five colour choices will be offered for the Honda Shine 100 – Black with Red Stripes, Black with Blue Stripes, Black with Green Stripes, Black with Gold Stripes, and Black with Grey Stripes.
Honda Shine 100: Mechanical Specifications and Hardware
The Shine 100 is powered by an entirely new 99.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which produces 7.6bhp of maximum power and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. These numbers are very similar to those of its rivals. The engine is housed in an entirely new diamond frame, which has been created especially for the Shine 100. Given its short 1,245mm wheelbase, accessible 786mm seat height, and 168mm of ground clearance, it should be able to handle rough roads. According to the manufacturer, the Shine 100's engine has been optimised to deliver 'higher fuel efficiency' and be OBD-2 and E20 fuel compliant. It also has an auto-choke feature, which ensures that the bike starts regardless of the outside temperature, and a fuel pump outside the fuel tank to make repairs easy. The Honda Shine 100 is expected to have a fuel efficiency of 60 km/l, according to HMSI.
The Honda Shine 100 gets Telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks as standard. Meanwhile, the braking system comprises a front and rear drum unit mounted on alloy wheels with road-biased tyres.
Honda Shine 100: Features
The Shine 100 comes with a halogen headlamp with bulb turn indicators as standard, along with a twin-pod instrument console with a speedometer, an odometer, and a fuel-level indicator. Additionally, it also gets a side-stand sensor and CBS (Combined Braking System).
