The latest dealership to open is a state-of-the-art facility in the state of Karnataka, and makes Honda the second biggest dealership network in India.
From the time of its inception, it has seemed that Honda is trying to do everything it can to claim the ‘numero uno’ spot in the Indian two-wheeler industry. It is this hunger only which made it the second biggest two-wheeler manufacturer of the nation behind Hero MotoCorp. With more and more emphasis on going deeper into the rural market, Honda has been doing wonders as far as the numbers are concerned.
Keeping the trend alive, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) inaugurated its 800th dealership in Karnataka. The new dealership will be a 4S facility which will take care of Sales, Service, Spares and Safety of the Honda two-wheelers. With this dealership, the number of Honda touch points has risen to 3,170 from 1,950 in June this year.
Commenting on the feat, Mr. Y. S. Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI said, “At Honda, reaching closer to our customers has always been our top priority and we have been relentlessly following our ambitious targets for expansion in line with our product portfolio expansion. Today, we are delighted to announce the opening of Honda’s 800th 4S dealer facility and welcome our new business partner to the Honda family. Through diligent network expansion we wish to cover the vast Indian landscape and thus, deliver our world-class products & services to our valued customers closer to their place.”
