Honda has filed a patent application in India for the NX125 scooter, which is already available on the international market. Although the Japanese automaker hasn't revealed anything, we expect the two-wheeler to arrive here soon and compete with the TVS Ntorq 125. For the uninitiated, Honda currently offers two powerful monikers in the 125cc segment: the Dio and the Activa. With the launch of the NX125, the company may seek to enhance its position in the segment and respond strongly to rising competition.

The Honda NX125 has a modern, sportier, and youthful appearance, with dual-LED headlamps and a single-piece seat. It gets sharp cuts and creases across the bodywork, similar to the made-in-India Dio 125. Features-wise, the Honda two-wheeler has a USB charging port, two small front-mounted storage compartments, and a fully digital LCD instrument console. It also comes with LED headlights, taillights, and indicators, as well as six colour options.
Honda NX125: Powertrain and Hardware
For propulsion, the NX125 employs a 125cc single-cylinder engine that develops a maximum power output of 8.7bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm.
The scooter's suspension includes telescopic front forks and a single rear spring, while the stopping power comes from a front disc and a rear drum brake. Other bits include alloy wheels (12-inch front and 10-inch rear), a 6-litre fuel tank, 110mm ground clearance, and 106 kg kerb weight.
