This Dhanteras, one of the biggest two-wheeler manufacturers in India – Honda – is all set to break its record of delivering 1.65 lakh two-wheelers last year on the same day.

After breaking the record for maximum bookings for the day of Dhanteras on Saturday, HMSI is all set to break the record for maximum deliveries today. Among all the two-wheelers, Honda Activa still remains the torch-bearer for Honda this festive season. The Activa was followed by the Honda CB Shine and the Dream series, which emerged as the best-selling motorcycles.

The newly launched Honda Livo also made its presence felt by breaking the record of maximum deliveries of 1.66 lakh units counted last year. For the first time in its history, HMSI also broke the record of selling over 3 lakh units in the Navratra – Dusshera period. The day of Dusshera alone witnessed the sales of 90,000 units this year.

Commenting on this magnificent performance, Mr. Yadvinder S. Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Our Utsav celebrations started months back. Our strategy to launch 13 new 2Wheelers in 2015 has paid off and created unprecedented excitement in the market. From the strategic perspective, Honda has announced increasing its retail finance partners counts to provide added convenience and choice to both new and pre-owned customers. We hope to close this festive season with new records and thank the million Indian customers for making Honda their first choice.”
