Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India has issued a recall for Africa Twin motorcycles made between February and October 2022 owing to a possible issue with throttle operation. The recall aligns with Honda's global recall for the motorcycle. It stems from a programming glitch in the Engine Control Unit (ECU), which can disrupt the throttle response. This may cause the wheelie control system to engage unexpectedly during acceleration, possibly leading to an imbalance in some circumstances. Notably, the precise number of units impacted is currently unknown.
Honda Africa Twin: Corrective Measures
To address the issue, Honda BigWing dealers will give a free ECU software upgrade to impacted Honda Africa Twin motorcycles.

Owners of affected motorcycles can find out if their vehicle is part of the recall by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the official Honda website. This will enable them to determine whether their bike requires the essential software update or not.
