Gold accents and new looks, say hello to the Honda Activa Premium.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have launched the Activa Premium Edition at Rs 75,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it Rs 3,000 more expensive than the standard Activa 6G and Rs 1,000 more than the DLX variant of the Activa 6G.
The Activa Premium comes with a host of cosmetic updates that differentiates it from the Standard Activa 6G. It gets three exclusive colour options along with gold accents to a few parts, which are either bare metal or finished in chrome on the standard Activa 6G. These include the wheels, the Honda and Activa Premium logos and the embellishments on the front apron. Furthermore, the seat and the plastic and cladding on the inner body are finished in brown.
Under the skin, the core aspects remain the same. Powering the scooter is a 109.5 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 7.7hp at 8,000rpm and 8.9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter benefits from notable features including a silent electric starter. It rides on the same pair of steel wheels that is found on the standard variant.
In terms of braking, the scooter gets a 130mm drum brake both at the front and rear. Additionally, the underbone frame, telescopic fork and three-step adjustable hydraulic shocks have also been borrowed from the standard Activa 6G.
