India seems to be the hot spot for automotive manufacturers. Almost every single car and bike manufacturer has set up shop in India, and it looks like more will be making their way here. The latest news is that legendary Italian bike maker MV Agusta is making an official entry into the Indian market this year.
MV Agusta has signed a deal with Pune-based Kinetic Engineering to be their Indian partners. Kinetic might have sold of their scooter business to Mahindra, but they have moved focus into the components market and has worked with many automotive OEMs in Italy over the years. Kinetic Engineering has had a wonderful relationship with Cagiva, who just so happen to be the owners of MV Agusta.
As of now we do not have full details of the partnership and we do not know which bikes will make their way to the Indian market, and we do not know if there will be any local assembly plans for bikes under 800cc. What we do know is that MV Agusta is one of the most premium motorcycle brands in the world, and their motorcycles will cost you a small fortune.
MV Agusta’s flagship motorcycle is the F4. This comes in 190 and 196bhp states of tune from a 1000cc inline four-cylinder motor. You can expect to shell out nothing less than Rs 20 lakhs for this bike.
