The Hero Xtreme 250R debuted at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.80 lakh. The motorcycle is expected to be available at dealerships across India soon. The bikemaker has revealed through its social media channels that pre-orders for the bike will begin next month, with deliveries scheduled for March. Positioned in the competitive quarter-litre segment, the Xtreme 250R aims to attract enthusiasts with its striking design, advanced features, and impressive performance. Equipped with a powerful 250cc liquid-cooled engine, the bike promises a balance of speed and efficiency, making it suitable for city commutes and spirited rides. With features like a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and LED lighting, the Xtreme 250R is expected to stand out in its class.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Mechanical Core

The Xtreme 250R is powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. This newly engineered power unit, which will also feature in the upcoming Karizma XMR 250, delivers 30bhp of maximum power at 9,250rpm and 25Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm.

It achieves an impressive 0 to 60km/h acceleration in just 3.25 seconds. The setup also includes an assist and slipper clutch for smoother performance.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Hardware and Features

The bike is built on a steel trellis frame, likely an upgraded version of the Karizma XMR's chassis. It rides on 17-inch wheels and features disc brakes at both ends, complemented by switchable ABS. Suspension duties are managed by 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a six-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by single petal-type discs with ByBre calipers. The bike’s 50-50 weight distribution enhances tyre grip and agility in handling.

In terms of features, the Xtreme 250R boasts a TFT digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, offering turn-by-turn navigation, media controls, vehicle diagnostics, and call/SMS notifications. Additional highlights include a drag timer, lap timer, all-LED lighting, and smartphone integration.

Hero Xtreme 250R: Styling

The design is characterised by a sharply contoured fuel tank with prominent extensions, a low-mounted headlamp, a muscular exhaust, and a split-seat arrangement. The angular tail section completes its athletic stance. Displayed in Black and Red at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo, the Xtreme 250R is expected to be available in more colour options soon. Its overall aesthetic reflects a fusion of styles, giving the bike a distinct and eye-catching appearance.
