Hero Xpulse 421 Concept Showcased at EICMA 2024

Hero MotoCorp finally showcased the long-awaited big-capacity Xpulse in concept form at the EICMA 2024. Design-wise, the Xpulse 421 is a complete departure from the new Xpulse 210 with a compact mudguard, gold-tinted USD fork, big windscreen, and distinctive headlight. It has a slim bodywork, featuring a compact tail portion, a high single-sided exhaust muffler, and a small one-piece seat. According to Hero, the bike has been developed with input from its Dakar Rally riders. While exact details are under wraps, industry reports indicate that the Xpulse 421 will go on sale in India by the end of next year. It will compete with a variety of bikes in the segment such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure R. The ex-showroom price could start at Rs 3 lakh. Read on for more details.

Hero Xpulse 421 Concept: Other Details

The production version of the Xpulse 421 is likely to be powered by a brand-new 421cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine coupled to a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. This unit could produce a maximum power output of 40-45bhp and a peak torque of 45Nm.

The Hero XPulse 421 has a brand-new trellis frame that is supported by a monoshock unit and a USD fork. However, it is unknown at this moment whether the suspension will be adjustable or not. For braking, the concept bike uses disc brakes, possibly with switchable ABS. It rides on spoke wheels. 

While Hero has not yet confirmed a production timeline, the Xpulse 421 concept offers a glimpse into the future of Hero's off-road lineup, exciting enthusiasts worldwide.

More Unveils 

Hero MotoCorp captured the spotlight at the most recent edition of the EICMA with a lot of exciting products, including the the Xtreme 250R, Mavrick 440, Karizma XMR 250, and Xpulse 210. Talking about the Xpulse 210, the bike features a redesigned TFT display for enhanced ride data and connectivity, and a larger 210cc engine, with major mechanical over the previous Xpulse 200 4V. The new 210cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC single-cylinder unit from the Karizma XMR, delivers 24.26bhp of maximum power and 20.7Nm of peak torque. It can be paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper and assist clutch.
