The Hero Xoom 125R has recently been spotted undergoing testing in India, sparking excitement among auto enthusiasts ahead of its anticipated launch. This upcoming model from Hero MotoCorp promises to blend style and performance, as evidenced by the intriguing split LED taillight setup visible in the test shots. The Xoom 125R appears to be a strategic addition to Hero's lineup, catering to the growing demand for innovative and dynamic two-wheelers in the Indian market. Hero Xoom 125R: Design, Engine, and Features

Hero MotoCorp debuted two new, sporty scooters under the Xoom range last year, the 160 and the 125R. Compared to the Xoom 110, the 125R has a far more refined design language while upholding the overall styling elements. The test mule was spotted near Hero's facility in Rajasthan, showing the forthcoming Xoom 125R from the back. The model appears to be huge and muscular. Sporting a sleek tail profile and a split LED light system, it also receives a split grab rail, a large pillion footrest plate, and 14-inch wheels.

On the mechanical front, the 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the revised Destini 125 will also power the Xoom 125R. It is unclear if the manufacturer will tweak the engine for the comparatively sportier Xoom. This engine puts out 9.4bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. It comes mated to a CVT automatic.

In terms of features, the Xoom 125R will offer segment-first sequential LED indicators, a fully digital instrument cluster along with Bluetooth connectivity, SMS notification alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. The steel chassis of the Xoom 125R, which is supported by telescopic front forks and a monoshock, will house the motor. Furthermore, a front disc and a rear drum will make up the braking system.

Upon launch, the Xoom 125R will likely take on the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis 125, Honda Dio 125, Yamaha Ray ZR 125, and the Aprilia SR 125. As far as price is concerned, the Hero model is expected to retail for around Rs 80,000 for the entry-level model and about Rs 90,000 for the top-of-the-line variant.
