Hero MotoCorp has introduced the 2025 Passion Plus in India, now equipped with an OBD2B-compliant engine to meet the latest emission standards. Priced at Rs 81,651 (ex-showroom), this update reflects a Rs 1,750 increase over the previous model. While the motorcycle retains its familiar 97.2cc air-cooled engine and core design, it now comes in two refreshed colour options: Black Nexus Blue (a black base with blue accents) and Black Heavy Grey (a black base with red accents). A more affordable variant of the Passion Plus is also available, priced at Rs 79,901 (ex-showroom), offered in four paint schemes – Black Grey Stripe, Black Nexus Blue, Sport Red, and Black Heavy Grey. Key features include Hero’s i3S idle start-stop system, combined braking system (CBS), a mobile charging port, and a side-stand engine cut-off. With these enhancements, the Passion Plus continues to appeal to budget-conscious commuters seeking dependability and efficiency in their daily rides.
2025 Hero Passion Plus: What’s New?
After refreshing the Splendor Plus with an upgraded powertrain, the Indian bikemaker has now turned its attention to the Passion Plus, updating it to comply with the latest OBD2B emission norms. Other than the regulatory upgrade, the motorcycle remains unchanged mechanically. At its core is the familiar 97.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine delivering 7.9bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm, paired with a four-speed transmission and wet multi-plate clutch.

Dimensionally, the motorcycle stretches 1,982mm long, stands 1,087mm tall, and measures 770mm wide. It offers a practical 790mm seat height and 168mm of ground clearance. Its commuter-oriented design incorporates essentials like a front headlamp cowl, single-piece seat, grab rail, conventional handlebars, and standard mirrors.
The bike’s suspension system retains telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear for balanced ride quality. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes at both ends. Riding on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 80/100-section tubeless tyres, the Passion Plus weighs in at 115 kilograms (kerb) and carries an 11-litre fuel tank for longer journeys between refuels.
On the feature front, the bike stays minimalistic, offering necessary functions such as a semi-digital instrument console, USB charging socket, Hero’s i3S idle start-stop system, side-stand engine cut-off, and conventional bulb lighting throughout. Competing in the entry-level commuter category, it goes head-to-head with alternatives like the Honda Shine and Bajaj Platina.
