Even though Hero MotoCorp launched its first middleweight bike for India, the Mavrick 440, in February 2024, it has already introduced a special-edition version of the flagship Mavrick 440 in the country. Called the Thunderwheels, the new model features a dual-tone blue-and-red livery. While the fuel tank with a Mavrick 440 badging is finished in blue, the tank extensions are decked out in red and have a Thunderwheels decal with a lightning bolt design. Another noticeable element is the bar-end mirrors.
Interestingly, the Hero Mavrick 440 Thunderwheels is a product of the collaboration between Hero MotoCorp and the homegrown beverage brand Thums Up. The special-edition model will be sold in limited numbers and available exclusively through a Charged Promo Pack with a unique QR code on the label. To participate in the contest, buyers of the promo pack must scan the label and enter the promo code. The contest ends on November 15, 2024.

Hero Mavrick 440: Specifications
Other than that, the Mavrick 440 Thunderwheels limited-edition model remains the same. To refresh your memory, the Hero Mavrick 440 is based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X 440, albeit with a different design. It features a robust fuel tank with integrated extensions, a round LED headlamp with an H-shaped daytime running light, small-sized indicators, a single-piece saddle, and a slim rear end. It’s available in three variants – Base, Mid, and Top – and gets diamond-cut alloys, a Bluetooth-enabled digital console, and dual-channel ABS, depending on the variant selected.
Powering the Hero Mavrick 440 is a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that gets a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. While both the Hero Mavrick 440 and the Harley-Davidson X 440 use the same powertrain and are equally powerful (27bhp at 6,000rpm), the former produces 36Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm, which is 2Nm lower than that of the latter (38Nm at 4,000rpm).
The pricing of the special-edition model is yet to be revealed. For your reference, the Mavrick 440 ranges from Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.24 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.
