Ahead of its launch on January 23 in India, the Hero Mavrick 440 has been teased through a set of official images. As seen in these images, the front fascia of the new Hero bike sports a round LED headlamp with daytime running lights and tubular handlebars. Meanwhile, the top view of the bike reveals a muscular-looking fuel tank with angular extensions, a faux air intake, a single-piece saddle, and a pillion grab rail. The styling bits are complemented by a circular instrument cluster. The Hero Mavrick 440 is also expected to come with a USB charging port, turn-by-turn navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Hero Mavrick 440: Hardware
Based on a spy shot that surfaced recently on the internet, the upcoming Hero bike will likely get conventional telescopic front forks and a 17-inch front wheel unlike the Harley-Davidson X440's upside-down units and a 19-inch front wheel.
The braking duties are expected to be handled by a single 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the back, along with dual-channel ABS. In terms of riding ergonomics, the riding position seems more upright in comparison to the X440, with enough space for a pillion rider. Other details revealed by a spy shot include round LED turn indicators, bar-end mirrors, and a different-looking exhaust system.
Hero Mavrick 440: Engine, Gearbox
The Hero Mavrick 440 will be powered by the same engine that powers the Harley-Davidson X440 but with a distinct sound. The 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine with a 6-speed gearbox powers the Harley-Davidson X440. Power and torque figures stand at 27bhp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm at 4,000rpm, respectively.
Hero Mavrick 440: Price
Expect the upcoming Hero Mavrick 440, based on the Harley-Davidson X440, to be less expensive than the latter. For reference, the entry-level Harley-Davidson X440 Denim is currently available at Rs 2.40 lakh, while the mid-spec Vivid and the top-spec S are priced at Rs 2.60 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
