Hero MotoCorp has finally taken wraps off the launch date for its first-ever 400cc bike in India. Called the Hero Maverick 440, the motorcycle will enter our market on January 23 and directly face off against the Harley-Davidson X440, and the Triumph Speed 400. Currently, well-known firms like Bajaj, Royal Enfield, and KTM reign the 400cc class. Hero MotoCorp plans to compete with all these bigwigs in the sector by introducing its version of the Harley-Davidson X440. Although the Hero Maverick 440 and the Harley-Davidson X440 will share a platform,
There will be a few differences. The Hero Maverick 440 will flaunt its individuality through a short front fender, upright seating position, and telescopic front forks, as shown in previous spy photos. Its roadster appearance will be enhanced by the sturdy fuel tank. However, much like the Harley-Davidson model, the Hero bike is likely to include a round headlamp with an H-shaped LED DRL and LED turn signals. With the market introduction slated for the later month, let's take a sneak peek at the upcoming new 400cc bike of the Hero MotoCorp in India.

Hero Mavrick 440: What's Expected?
It is anticipated that the new Mavrick from Hero MotoCorp's stable will share the identical mechanical configuration as its Harley counterpart. The 440cc engine of the Harley-Davidson X440 produces a peak torque of 38Nm and a maximum power of 27bhp with a 6-speed transmission. While there is no formal announcement, Hero MotoCorp is anticipated to alter and refine the Mavrick 440's engine and gears to suit the needs of its potential buyers.
The front forks on the Hero Mavrick 440 are speculated to be standard telescopic ones instead of the USD forks found on the X440. Additionally, it is expected that the upcoming Hero motorcycle will roll on 17-inch alloys (both front and rear), unlike the X440's 19-inch wheels. Though the soon-to-be-released Mavrick will be viewed as a streetfighter in the motorcycle market, the X440 is notably regarded as a roadster. The semi-digital console with a smartphone connection, the fuel tank with enlarged tank portions, and the slightly bold front footpeg location are among other significant potential modifications.
