Hero MotoCorp brings BS-VI tech to the 100cc motorcycle segment with the HF Deluxe.
Hero MotoCorp has upgraded its entry-level 100cc offering, the HF Deluxe, to meet the upcoming BS-VI emission norms. Launched at ₹55,925 (self-start alloy wheel variant), the BS-VI upgrade has resulted in a price revision of nearly ₹7,350 compared to the outgoing model. The top-spec version (self-start alloy wheel i3s variant) has been priced at ₹57,250 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The kick-start variants of the outgoing model are likely to be discontinued.
The BS-VI HF Deluxe is powered by a 100cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that now gets Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) and what Hero likes to call ‘XSens Technology’ (an array of sensors). With the power figures rated at 7.94bhp and 8.05Nm, the BS-VI upgrade has resulted in power reduction although the torque remains unchanged. On the upside, the BS-VI HF Deluxe has become more fuel-efficient (by 9%) and quicker off the line (6% more acceleration). Thanks to the PGM-FI tech, cold starts won't be an issue.
While there are no changes in the bike's dimensions, the BS-VI HF Deluxe gets revised body graphics and two new colour schemes (Techno Blue & Heavy Grey/Green). Apart from these, the bike continues to be on sale in Black/Red, Black/Purple and Black/Grey colour combinations. The updated HF Deluxe is available across all Hero MotoCorp dealerships in the country starting this month.
