In the Indian market, Royal Enfield has emerged as the most coveted two-wheeler maker. The firm has been testing its next neo-vintage naked roadster in India for a few months now. According to rumours, the spotted model may be called the Guerrilla 450 or Hunter 450 and is inspired by the entry-level Hunter 350. The bike will be positioned as a more powerful and expensive alternative to the Hunter 350, sharing many similarities with the recently released Himalayan. The Guerrilla 450 is expected to arrive on the market around the end of June or early in July. However, the brand has not yet announced any formal launch date. This fiscal year, Royal Enfield is also planning to improve its flagship 650 range while extending its 350cc inventory. Read on to learn more.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Appearance
The design philosophy of the Guerrilla 450 is centered on a roadster style that is both minimalist and neo-retro. The teardrop-shaped fuel tank, the one-piece seat, and the sleek tall part are noteworthy elements. Furthermore, the bike will combine its tail lamp and turn indicators, just like the new Himalayan model.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Engine Specs
A 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC Sherpa 450 engine, which can produce 40bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm, will propell the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. A six-speed transmission with a slipper/assist clutch as standard will be mated to this motor.
The motorcycle will have 17-inch black alloy wheels, and an offset monoshock will take care of suspension chores in the back. Front and rear disc brakes are part of the braking system, and a dual-channel ABS assists them.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Features
In terms of features, it is uncertain whether the Guerrilla 450 will sport the Himalayan's Tripper TFT display or the Super Meteor 650's simpler digi-analogue display. Nevertheless, it does include the increasingly popular LED headlamp featured across Royal Enfield's portfolio. Other amenities in the list comprise a ride-by-wire throttle system, adjustable rear ABS, Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, several ride modes, and a slightly upright handlebar.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Expected Price and Competition Check
Given that it has fewer high-end features than the Himalayan, the Guerilla 450 is expected to cost between Rs 2.40 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh. For reference, the price of the Himalayan starts at Rs 2.85 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.98 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. In terms of market rivalry, the roadster will face competition from well-known models such as the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Honda CB300R, Triumph Speed 400, and the KTM 390 Duke.
