Harley-Davidson India has officially announced the X 440 roadster, their most economical motorcycle, for our market. On July 4th, 2023, this brand-new bike that was developed in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp will hit the Indian market. An up-close look at the production-ready motorcycle was recently offered by the Indian division of the American two-wheeler manufacturer. Notably, the X 440 was developed and built entirely in India, with the goal of attracting new riders to the declining Harley-Davidson community. The agreement between the two manufacturers states that Hero will handle Harley-Davidson's Indian sales and after-sales while also creating high-end bikes. In advance of its India launch, here's everything you need to know about the new Harley-Davidson X440.

Harley-Davidson X 440: Expected Price and Competition Check
As previously stated, on July 4, 2023, at Hero's technological centre in Jaipur, the new Harley-Davidson will be launched in India. Upon launch, the brand-new model will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda H'ness CB350. Therefore, we anticipate the new X 440 will be priced between Rs 2.50 lakh and Rs 3.0 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
Harley-Davidson X 440: Hardware
In terms of the hardware of the X 440, as seen in the pictures posted by Harley-Davidson India, we can draw several observations. Twin rear shocks and upside-down front forks, for instance, will be part of the suspension system. The safety net will most likely include a dual-channel ABS and a side-stand engine cut-off feature, while the braking configuration on both ends consists of disc brakes on both wheels.
Harley-Davidson X 440: Design and Features
The brand-new Harley Davidson will take stylistic inspiration from the XR1200, as can be seen in the pictures. The design will consist of a retro-style circular indicator, a single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, a side-slung exhaust, and a round headlamp with integrated Harley-Davidson branding. The full moniker of the new bike will also be revealed on the fuel tank's 3D logos. Although the official pictures only show one potential colour, we anticipate more colour choices at the time of launch. The multifunction switchgear on this motorcycle is also seen in the most recent images, and the Harley-Davidson X 440 could include additional features like Bluetooth connectivity, full-LED lighting as well as a fully-digital instrument cluster.
Harley-Davidson X 440: Mechanical Specs
The motorcycle's name and the displacement are shown via the graphics on the fuel tank. The new photos show an oil and air-cooled, single-cylinder configuration, despite the sparse details. The displacement will probably be close to 440cc. The brand's earlier pictures had shown a redline of 8,000rpm. In light of this, the motor in this bike will probably have a longer stroke, which should help it produce strong low-end and mid-range torque. The output numbers should be close to 30bhp and 35Nm.
