Ducati has unveiled the 2024 Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 – a limited-edition model to honour the brand's legendary 916 model – at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. There will only be 500 units of this new special edition, each of which will have the manufacturing number engraved on the steering plate and will come with a dedicated motorbike cover and an authenticity certificate. Ducati claims that the limited-edition model has the DNA of the 916, evident in its angular top view, concentrated mass at the front, air intakes, V-shaped fairing, short tail, and headlight. Its livery, on the other hand, is inspired by the Ducati 996 race bike, which won the 1999 Superbike World Championship. Read on to learn more about this special edition model, which has been designed exclusively for riding on closed circuits.

Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916: Design and Features
As mentioned above, this new limited-edition version's paint scheme is inspired by the 1999 Superbike World Championship-winning Ducati 996. However, the unique black panels on the top fairing resemble the 916's cool-air vents. Also, the gold laurel insignia on the fuel tank cap is similar to that of the 916. The fairing logo gives the design a three-dimensional appearance and is finished in silver with a gold outline. Further, the new edition comes in a single-seat version just like the 996. The bike has several track-ready accessories, such as the Ducati Data Analyzer+ kit with GPS module, a carbon open clutch cover, billet aluminium plugs, and an aluminium fuel cap, among others.

The Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30 Anniversario 916 is powered by the same engine that propels the standard Panigale V4 SP2 – a 1,103cc V4, which generates 123.6Nm at 9,500rpm and 212.5bhp at 13,000rpm. The bike also features a 6-speed transmission featuring Ducati's Quickshift EVO 2 up-and-down quick-shifter. The anniversary edition's hardware consists of an aluminium single-sided swingarm, a completely adjustable Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock system at the back, and an Ohlins NPX25/30 fully adjustable 43mm USD front fork. For braking, the bike has Brembo Stylema R callipers up front, with two 330mm discs and cooling ducts made of carbon fibre. Moreover, the bike gets two piston-callipers and a 245mm disc at the rear.
The limited-edition model gets a 17-inch carbon fibre five-spoke wheel shod with a 200/60 ZR17 tyre at the rear and a 120/70 ZR17 Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyre at the front. The weight of the five-spoke wheels is 1.4 kgs less than that of the forged Marchesini of the V4 S and 3.4 kgs less than that of the Panigale V4.
