Ola displayed its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters at the biggest two-wheeler show, EICMA, in Italy. The company has revealed its plans to penetrate the European markets in the first quarter of the next year. Ola Electric says that it is taking steps towards making Europe the first auto-emission-free continent by 2050.
The Ola S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro are priced at ₹ 84,999, ₹ 99,999, and ₹ 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. While the Ola S1 has a 3 kWh battery, the S1 gets a smaller 2.5 kWh battery. On the other hand, Ola's S1 Pro receives a bigger 4 kWh lithium-ion battery. They each have a range of up to 101, 141, and 181km on a single charge, respectively.
Sharing his thoughts on the announcement, the founder & CEO of Ola, Mr Bhavish Aggarwal said, 'We are confident that with our world-class EV products, we will grow the EV scooter market in Europe exponentially the way we have in India.' For Ola Electric, the European markets will be its second foreign market in terms of business expansion. By the end of this year, the company will also introduce the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters in Nepal, as previously announced.
