Ducati has silently added another colour option to its most affordable offering – the Scrambler Icon. So far, the motorcycle has only been on sale with a red and yellow colours, but now the company has added a silver to its palette. The silver coloured Ducati Scrambler Icon carries a sticker price of Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom). At that price, it demands a premium of Rs 10,000 over the Red Icon.

In terms of design, the silver Scrambler Icon looks identical to the rest of the colours. It gets a silver tank with contrast grey tank covers. The tiny front mudguard, exhaust can, as well as the heat shield manifold are also finished in silver.

Powering the Ducati Scrambler Icon is a 72bhp 803cc desmodromic L-twin motor. This unit makes max torque of 67Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission which is aided by a slipper clutch. The Scrambler Icon sits on Kayaba 41 mm forks up front which has 150mm of travel. At the back is a preload and rebound adjustable Kayaba shock. Braking duties are performed by a 330mm disc up front and a 245mm disc at the back. ABS is standard in the Ducati Scrambler Icon.

Subsequent to the ban of BSIII motorcycles from April 1, Ducati had temporarily suspended sales of some of its motorcycles, including the Scrambler. The one on sale now is Euro 4 compliant. The Ducati Scrambler Icon locks its horns with the Triumph Street Twin.
