Ducati North America has announced a safety recall for 2020-2023 Panigale V2 models. The brand claims that the reason for the recall is a software fault that might lead to the headlight daytime position lamp (DRL) turning on when driving at night. If this occurs, the rider might not be able to see the road well since there may not be enough light coming from the headlight, which could increase the possibility of an accident. According to the firm, 3315 motorcycles are now affected, and the company will contact the owners with further information on the recall shortly. It will also install a new software version free of cost. Aside from this, the organization is asking the impacted owners to check for enough illumination by using the low beam.

Ducati Panigale V2 Recall: More Updates
According to some industry reports, many Ducati owners voiced complaints regarding the instrument panel earlier this year. When the cluster's backlight was set to Auto, the system occasionally switched to daytime mode at night. After this, the firm initiated an internal inquiry after reviewing these concerns and found a software calibration fault with a dashboard photodiode. In addition to the DRLs, the photodiode also regulates the dashboard backlight.
Speaking of the current recall, there will be no replacement of components. The firm will only provide a free of cost software revision on affected models. Industry reports state that between May 2023 and June 2023, the corporation alerted the dealers about the recall. Between June 20, 2023, and June 27, 2023, it also issued notices to the models' registered owners.
